If you see those horns in shadows lurking, then you know, you are in big trouble and will be hospitalized.
Took a long time to recognise Daredevil as a character rather than identifying as poor Spider-Man. Thanks to Frank Miller, DD found his infrastructure and become the iconic character as we know it.
So today, I am going to cover each suit’s feature and design from Ben Affleck to Charlie Cox. So let us begin
This costume is much more leather looking like. Something a biker wears or it sometimes look like a spandex. It also has holster for his Billy Clubs which is disguised as cane which he(Matt Murdock) uses for walking. The suit is very much functional and realistic at times of 2000-2005s. This suit is more like crimson platish than red. The insignia of DD is placed at right side of chest, kind of very subtle.
This mask has red lense, whenever the lighting is right, you can see the POV of blind man, especially if lighting set in right situation. Although meant for gymnastic purpose, but it does look like it can be easily fit into the person who has more than 5 feet.
There are some of the concept arts for the suit which were made by Manser. I feel these are the better versions than final product which got. They feel more darker for the movie.
Charlie Cox as MCU’s(Marvel Cinematic Universe) Daredevil
This suit is just seen at one scene on the episode 10 AKA Nelson V Murdock of Season 1. This suit is just plain Blue Sweatshirt and looks somewhat like Pyjamas. Eyes are covered in blindfold style. Hands are covered with hand wraps which are mainly used for boxing. This suit is somewhat similar to Battle Damaged Variant excpet it is not fully Black Ninja Suit.
This suit is heavily inspired by classic design by Frank Miller in early days of Daredevil comics “The Man Without Fear” and in the same case of MCU/Netflix TV show where he started before and after the events of “The Avengers: Battle For New York”.
This suit has nothing much more to offer as he said in the show he ordered from online along with black pants and mask. Mask is pretty much similar to the comics. He got batons from his mentor Stick. It is perfect for practical sports and military wear. The only difference are shoes, they are black in live action just like every other MCU heroes get except Captain America. In comics, they are white sports shoes. In some cases, Muay Thai ropes has been used in Season 1 Episode 2 and then used in the last episodes of Season 3.(See the Image Below)
This Suit has been created by Melvin Potter so that he could take less damage from his enemies. The Red Part if you see, it can deflect a knife depending on the angle and black part would give him from most protection from punches, kicks and other alternatives. Those Black Pattern you can see all over his costume and even his back, has some black patterns(See The Video Below).
It is somewhat similar to Secret War Costume but little tactical and more of an armor based. If you see his right leg, it has pockets where he keeps his batons but unlike comics it does not have rope like feature, but it can combine into one club.Yes it has red eye suit in the helmet but it just looks like for the showcase and nothing else. But this suit wouldn’t last until starting few episodes where Punisher has been guest starred and he cracked his helmet pretty hard.
This Suit is almost perfect. Although the same suit, but helmet has been changed and also improved on those red eyes. Now he looks like “Devil Of Hell’s Kitchen”. Even now the suit has complete protection from almost everything. Light material but durable.
Potter also incorporated a new carbon nanotube-based alloy which he said and I quote “near indestructible” into a new helmet that included red lenses in the eye holes. He also added advanced alloy gauntlets to the suit’s gloves as a bonus. Now instead of Batons, he got billy clubs which he can swing around almost like Spider-Man.
But this suit now has been used by Ben Poindexter AKA Dex or commonly known as Bullseye just like in the comics where he donned the costumes of Daredevil and Hawkeye.
Unused Concepts for MCU Suit.
If Daredevil was ever into MCU movie, pretty sure these costumes would work very well. One of the costumes had DD insignia. Looks very awesome.Made by Josh Nizzi.
